Saints Row IV is a 2013 developed by and published by . It is the sequel to 2011's and the fourth installment in the series. The game was released in August 2013 for , , and , and was later to , , and in 2015. A port was released on March 27, 2020.

The game's nature allows players to freely explore a simulation of the fictional city of Steelport while completing main and side at their leisure. It also incorporates elements, and continues the series' reputation for over-the-top . The story follows the same from the previous games, who becomes after stopping a terrorist threat. Five years into their governance, they find themselves trapped in the Steelport simulation by the Zin, an empire who destroy the and capture the player character and other members of their street gang-turned-media and consumer empire, the 3rd Street Saints. With help from some Saints who managed to escape and provide them with by hacking the simulation, the player character attempts to rescue their captured friends, escape the simulation, and defeat the Zin
