Pre-vocational Studies For Primary Schools - Home Economics 4

Pre-Vocational Studies (Home Economics) for Primary Schools is a series packaged in six books to meet the requirement of the new curriculum developed by Nigerian Educational Research and Development Council (NERDC) for Pre-Vocational Studies (Home Economics).

As a vocational subject, the contents of the books are organised into themes, modules and units to afford the pupils the opportunity of developing necessary skills for self-empowerment, family life as well as health and safety education, in order to function in the society within the limits of their capacity.

The textbooks are pupil-centred. Activities and exercises provided at the end of each module assist the teachers in evaluating the pupil's performance based on the learning objectives at the beginning of the modules.

Each book is accompanied by a Workbook and two volumes of Teachers' Guide for Lower Basic and Middle Basic.

The authors are experienced teachers of Home Economics drawn from different cultural groupings in the country to reflect diverse cultures of Nigeria.
