Deep and bright ruby. Fruity and spiced. Reminiscent of ripe berries, morello cherry, warm spices (cinnamon, clove, nutmeg), truffles, game, and cedar. Elegant and well balanced with mature flavours of leather, spiced forest fruits, and roasted game. Powerful, persistent flavors ensure a wine of excellent length that is a pleasure to drink. Invented by Charles Brotte in 1952, the Fiole du Pape carries with her numerous tales.
