Omo By Alexander Emmanuel Ochogwu
Omo is the compelling story of a young Nigerian girl and the contending realities along her journey of self-determination.
While growing up in Sun City, a ghetto suburb in Lagos, Nigeria, Omo, the lead character, is brought face to face with the life lessons of surviving independently.
As daughter to a negligent father and a die-hard mother, she is forced to find a way of living her dream and winning a National Science Competition.
In this quest, she gets enmeshed in a downward spiral that would send her into the abysmal misery that eventually changes her life; and to retrace her steps, she would have to travel six years and
over 6,000 miles back to where she may have missed it, just to correct one mistake.
